Buddy Class is designed around the principle that behaviour management is a whole school issue and needs to be approached as a whole school solution.
Buddy Class is designed using feedback from teachers on the implementation of Buddy Class systems and the issues involved.

Some of the issues discovered in our research where :

• New teachers not knowing anyone to buddy with
• Teachers who refuse to take buddys for no particular reason
• Unexpected behaviour management incidents where a buddy hasn't been previously set up
• Buddys who have been bombarded with students
• The same old teachers buddying for lots of people

Buddy class aims to address those and more issues by offering an extremely simple interface that chooses the Buddy at random from all teachers.This spreads the load and makes the Buddy Class system fair.
This also stops refusal to participate and other issues that Buddy Class now addresses and controls.

Buddy class has a fully configurable Administration interface that allows the administrator to exclude special classes that may not be suitable for being a Buddy, to how many years the prospective Buddy Class is separated from the Buddy Sender's class.
It also has an intensive data output to help track and administer the buddy class system effectively and emailing to alert the Buddy Class.
